Pałac Saski - symbol i jeden z najbardziej reprezentacyjnych gmachów przedwojennej Warszawy, pomimo wielu prób, do dziś nie doczekał się odbudowy (dotychczasowe miały miejsce w latach 40/50. i 70. XX w. oraz w I dekadzie XXI w.).
Dziś Plac Piłsudskiego (wcześniej Plac Saski) to smutna betonowa pustynia... Jednak nie zawsze tak było. Jeszcze do 1944 roku plac miał charakter najbardziej reprezentacyjnego miejsca w Warszawie, stanowił jej historyczne centrum. Ze wszystkich stron okalały go reprezentacyjne gmachy i pałace: pałac Saski, pałac Bruhla, pałac Kronenberga, Hotel Europejski, Sądy Wojskowe i kilka kamienic z XIX w.

Profil powstał z myślą o ludziach wspierających inicjatywę odbudowy Pałacu Saskiego, którego pozostałości - w postaci fragmentu kolumnady - od prawie 90 lat skrywają Grób Nieznanego Żołnierza.

Pretekstem do wznowienia starań o odbudowę pałacu Saskiego jest zbliżająca się wielka, historyczna rocznica - rok 2018 - stulecie odzyskania przez Polskę niepodległości.

This fanpage is for like-minded people who support the idea of the reconstruction of Warsaw's Saski (Saxon) Palace for the 100th anniversary celebrations of Poland's Independence Day- 11th November 2018.

The Saxon Palace is symbolic to pre-war Warsaw and was one of the capitals most prominent buildings. Despite many attempts (in the forties-fifties, seventies of the Twentieth century and the first decade of the twenty first century) the reconstruction of the Palace has not been initialized yet.
The former Saski Square re-named Piłsudski Square looks like a "concrete desert" today. This was not always the case... Up to the year 1944 the Square was a historic centre of Warsaw, the most prominent area of the city. Each side of the square was closed in by elegant buildings: The Saski Palace, The Bruhl Palace, The Kronenberg Palace, Europejski Hotel, The Military Courthouses and a few town houses dating to the nineteenth century.

This page was established for people who support the re-building initiative of the Palace of which the remains - a small part of the colonnade - house the Tomb of the Unknown Solder for ninety years now.

The motivation behind those new efforts for launching this project is the upcoming historical anniversary of huge importance - the year 2018 - the centenary of Polish Independence.

Eine Seite, die Unterstützer des Wiederaufbaus vom Sächsischen Palais zur 100. Jahrestagfeier Polnischer Unabhängigkeit am 11. November 2018 zusammenführt.

Das Sächsische Palais - ein Symbol und eins der repräsentativsten Gebäude Warschaus aus der Vorkriegszeit wartet immer noch auf sein Wiederaufbau (bisherige vergebliche Versuche gab es in den 40er, 50er und 70er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts und im ersten Jahrzehnt des 21. Jahrhunderts).

Heute ist der Pilsudski-Platz (ehemals Sächsischer Platz) eine traurige Betonwüste ... Aber nicht immer war es so. Noch bis 1944 war der Platz eine markante und repräsentative Stelle in Warschau und hat das historische Stadtzentrum dargestellt. Von allen Seiten war er von wichtigen Gebäuden und Palästen umgeben: vom Sächsisches Palais, Brühlschem Palais, Kronenberg-Palais, Europa-Hotel, Militärgerichten und mehreren Häusern aus dem 19. Jahrhundert.

Diese Seite wurde für alle erstellt, die die Initiative des Wiederaufbaus des Sächsischen Palais unterstützen möchten. Die Überreste des Palais umbegeben jetzt seit fast 90 Jahren - als Teil der Kolonnade - das Grab des Unbekannten Soldaten.

Ein Grund für die erneute Bemühungen um das Sächsische Palais wiederaufzubauen ist das große historische Jubiläum, was im Jahr 2018 stattfinden wird - die Hundertjahrfeier der Unabhängigkeit Polens.
