Sabden Fold Archers

Formed in 2006, Sabden Fold Archers is a field archery club associated with the National Field Archery Society or NFAS. The Club is based at Sabden Fold Farm, which is, strangely enough in Sabden Fold, making the choice of name quite appropriate.
The five founder members were: Ian Horrocks, Gordon Crossley, Mike Glover, Rebecca Dilworth and George Belshaw.
What is field archery ? Well most people will be familiar with target archery. These archers posess highly tuned equipment and are concerned purely with accuracy at a given distance in a stable environment.Field archers, on the other hand are a bit more rough and ready and prefer animal targets at unmarked distances over rough terrain, usually woodland.Its archery, in its purest and most natural form.
