LAKSMI: a playground for artists and outcasts of all sorts and origins

It’s odious, repulsive, dirty, odd. It drains you like no other place. It’s Berlin. A simple "hello" can lead to a million things. In a city that is overflown with cultural extravaganza, infamous for its night life scene and filled with places topping each other with outrageous ideas and concepts in an attempt to offer something new and exciting- Laksmi does no such thing. It is what it is. It’s unpretentious. It’s undefined. It’s a mess. Because the story of the bar is an ever- changing one. To the point where even the name makes no sense anymore. Inspired by all the lunatics this city chose to accept, the transformation of Laksmi is an on-going process. All the random loners, romantics, mischievous failures- the last remaining cowboys- you are the ones that give the place character and its distinctiveness. It’s not trying to impress anyone; not selling you an image. We are who we are. Laksmi is a place that encourages you to be exactly that. Nothing more. A place to share and express your ideas and creativity, where they can interwind and combine; create a set of new ones. It’s a myriad of chaos. And yet, it all comes together perfectly, perpetuating the everlasting convert of the bar.
