Antoni Jurasz University Hospital No. 1 in Bydgoszcz is the region’s largest high specialty medical facility with over-regional span of influence.

The founding body of the Hospital is Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (NCU). The Hospital constitutes a didactical base for the students of Ludwik Rydygier Medical College NCU in Bydgoszcz, for scientific research and, above all, serves as the region’s largest hospital providing high specialty medical procedures as well as health, diagnostic and rehabilitation services for the patients of the region. Within its educational framework, the Hospital also provides under- and postgraduate courses for doctors, nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists and other medical specialists.
