Press Hostel Informacje o firmie

Ogólne informacje

Press Hostel was created with passion for traveling and meeting new, interesting people. Our mission is to introduce visitors to Warsaw - present one and the one from the past. You can start with museums and other typical attractions reccommended by a guidebook, go with us to a club party, visit an alternative art gallery or take part in a niche live concert.

You will see what you want and what you need to see. There is no such place in Warsaw as our hostel, which atmosphere, architecture, interior design refers best to trends seen in 70' and 80'. We are authentic in what we do and we wish you to try move back to these years for a little while. Carefully selected, thoroughly renovated furniture, color scheme and the whole space is a result of combining the aesthetics of a totalitarian state with modernity. Thanks to that our hostel is an intresting, but also a comfortable place.

Our strengts is open-mindness and international, friendly atmoshere. Press Hostel is a place where you are going to feel safe. We care about our guests, keeping the front desk open 24h a day. We will always make our best to provide the help you need. As our guest you will get to now how to get to the chosen point, and also which services are best and cheapest for you, where to book tickets for a party, what to eat and which restaurants are worth visiting, how to find exeptional night life. But also, which things or places you should definietly avoid.

We are solid in everything we do - from keeping the hostel clean and tidy, through organizing events and animations, ending with amazing coffee you can have with us for free every morning. Even beds we have designed on our own - all of them are regular (90cm x 200cm) and we guarantee that they are also very comfortable. Morover, beddings are made of 100% organic, breathable cotton. What is important, mattresses are thick enough, so you wake up well rested and full of energy. All this makes high, homy standard, which is practically unheard in other hostels in Warsaw.

We travel around the world. While creating The Press Hostel we have tried to eliminate the weak sides of this kind of accommodation. That is why our well equipped, open kitchen is connected with the living room and the terrace. We have books, board games, fast-speed wi-fi, washing machine (with drying option), cold beer and aspirin for you. Things for breakfast wait at the kitchen table and in the fridge.

Active Holiday/ Press Club Staff will provide you an interesting stay. We do several events every day or we take you out there, where anything interesting happens. You can go with us to a pub crawl, club, concert, pub quiz, river bank, water fountain’s show or for a walk around the city. We are going to show you commonly known and more alternative, hidden places; these bustling with life during the day and the ones, that wake up only at night. You can count on us if you would like to rent a city bike or get a public transport ticket. So you have some pictures to show to your family, we will take you to a museum, classical music concert or an art gallery. You can take part in one of our thematic tour around interensting and unexplored places, as an altrernative to these from the guidebook. If you are willing, we will show you the narrowest house in the world, best preserved skyscraper from the Stalin era or buildings that have survived Warsaw Ghetto. We can take you to all these places.

Location/ Press Hostel is located in Muranów district, that was built during the communist’ dictatorship on the rubble of Warsaw Ghetto. It is located near the Old Town, which has been completely destroyed by the Nazis and rebuilt in its historical shape. The building itself comes from the last decade of polish communism and it used to be a quarter of the Warsaw Craft Chamber. Thanks to the communication booth of Babka roundabout and metro station nearby, Press Hostel is quite well communicated with both airports (Chopin, Modlin), railway and bus stations. Despite its closeness to the center and main streets of the city, the surrounding area is calm, quiet and full of greenery. We have a good access to the public transport (buses, trams, subway) and city bikes, what guarantee you an ease of moving around Warsaw. The Old Town, Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Vistula Boulevards and Powązki Cemetery are about 10-20 minutes away on foot. There is also a great pastry shop, restaurant with a coal stove, smokehouse, grocery and a pharmacy next door.
